Parking Restrictions in Greece
18th June 2018
From June - September 2018:
- Operations to the Greek Islands are most likely to be authorised for passenger drop off or pick up only. Some locations have a maximum ground time of 45 minutes, LGMK and LGSR being two examples of this.
- Mainland airports are usually used as repositioning locations, but due to the high volume of activity during this peak season they too are experiencing a shortage of available parking spots. The largest airport in Greece, Athens (LGAV), issued a NOTAM (A1641/18) on June 13, stipulating that operators looking to stay there for more than two hours will need to apply for a PPR, but that long term parking is not available.
